04 May, 2020 - A Sleepy Bunny Under a Warm Blanket & Miscellaneous This and That
Dear, Mom -
Today I was so pleasantly surprised to come home from work and have a call from you and Sandahl. What a great way to start my time off! You were so snuggly. Wrapped up in your bed with a shy smile and sleepy eyes. You looked like a wee bunny poking its head out of its den for a peek at something...and then slowly falling asleep in the sun! I loved it so much! What joy to see you!!!
This is the picture you painted and all the cowboys in town wanted to buy it. We had it hangin in our family room, though, and you didn't wish to sell it. So, you painted another one. An old cowpoke commissioned you to do it for $350. I believe because it is a calvary saddle, it had some real significance to him. A lot of people really loved this painting, though. It is one of your most photo realistic ones.
The paintings above have always been a couple of my favorite of yours, too. I love all the little details in the pictures. There was an artist you really admired named Charles Wysoki and I believed you painted these pictures in his style (yours is a better style in my opinion). You could play 'I Spy' with these paintings. So fantastic. There is one more oil painting you did that I will bring to where you live so that Aleynah can hang it in her office:

Since Elsa is a Scottish Bearded Collie which is a herding dog, she thinks that this joke was very funny and insisted I include it in tonight's letter. Also, Elsa said to say, "I love you, Grandma!" She's a character.
I meant to show you this really nice picture I took of The Bridge of the Gods at Cascade Locks. It is a panoramic shot, so you can see a lot of the landscape around it as well.
The water was very muddy on this day. I believe we had some flooding to the east and it was all washing down the river to the west towards the sea. You can see Greenleaf Peak and Table mountain in the background. The old sleigh in the foreground reminds me of something you would have painted. Covered wagons, wagon wheels, old cast iron pans, or any old west paraphernalia.

This is such a great depiction of a person holding a rose in a country garden. This painting was displayed in the office area of our house in Milton-Freewater. It has so much expression. And you can believe it to be either a man or a woman; such diversity. All the family have loved this picture and I can't wait for it to be where more people can admire it.
Elsa dog is being very pushy tonight about "show grandma this" or "send grandma that". She wanted me to send you a picture of her with her friend Orange Cat. He loves to give Elsa cuddles. Elsa loves to be cuddled. She would like very much if Orange Cat could come home and live with us. Orange Cat says, "No, Elsa dog. I have a family on this street, but we can be buddies and visit one another occasionally." Elsa is happy for her friend Orange Cat, but really wants a cat to come home and be her brother or sister. If you look at Elsa's face, it is as if she if saying, "Look what I found, Mom! Can we keep him? Pleeeeeaaasse?!" Not today, Elsa. Hopefully soon, though!
Well, I have an early day tomorrow, Mom. I had better get on to bed and to sleep to tackle another day. I love you. You are the best mother ever. You are so talented. Sweet Dreams! ---Sally💝
