03 August, 2020 - Paperwork & Errands = Not Very Exciting

Dear, Mom -

Hello, sleepyhead. We tried having a conversation today, but we were both too tired. We needed naps! I think you may have got one, but I decided to keep my eyes propped open with tooth picks and carry on until bed tonight. It is fine. We will talk on Wednesday.

I had to do paperwork today in order to make sure that my file with the County stays current. It consisted of a background check, which only took about 10 minutes to fill out since I don't have a history of criminal activity. There's nothing to explain or mark "Yes" to if you don't have a history, therefore making it pretty easy to fill out. I filled it out and put it in an envelope than drove out to the County office a ways away. Elsa the dog didn't mind. She just knew she would get an extra ride in the car with me and that made her happy.

This morning to took her to the other tall tree park that has a foot bridge that connects to the dog park we like.
Chimney Dog Park.
Elsa loves to go here. She runs along the fence (not pictured, but to the right) and runs with the cars on the street. She likes to chase the big semis that go racing by. I figure if she does it her, in a contained area, she will get some needed energy out. She is a herding dog. They have plenty of energy. She is also currently on steroids for her seasonal allergies and that makes her extra amped up. Regardless, we had a nice walk, she had a nice run, and we both came home tired.
The other day I told you that I thought my 'lilies' were done blooming, well, they aren't exactly. And they are called Tiger or Peacock Flowers! They are related to, or in the lily family, they still have their own specification. One of my favorite flowers has always been a Tiger Lily and these are in the same classification. They are 'freckled'.  And look!!! They come in other beautiful colors.
I need to plant more of these in different colors. They are such a magnificent accent to the yard. When you look at them close-up, the layers are really amazing. The colors are gorgeous, too. I think they have become my favorite flower next to roses.

Even a simple Chicory flower is beautiful when you look at it close-up!
Well, I hope you have a fabulous day today. Enjoy the sunshine, drink a cup of coffee with friends and tell them how much your Sally loves you. I do, you know! Very, very much. I will be there as soon as I can to hold your hand, stoke your hair, give you a kiss on the cheek, and a great, big hug!!!
I LOVE YOU! ---Your Youngest, Sally Ann😘
