12 August, 2020 - Talked to You Today & Excited for Tomorrow!

 Dear, Mom -

It was so nice to talk to you today. You were very talkative and had so much to tell me. It was fantastic. It really touched my heart when you asked when I could come see you. So, with that in mind, we decided I will come see you at some point tomorrow (which means today). I am nervous to come see you because I know I will want to reach out and touch you, hold your hand, give you a hug. It isn’t something we can do now, but at least being close to you, instead of just seeing you on the screen, will be refreshing. We might cry a bit...or a lot.., but I am willing to let my emotions go haywire if it means I get to sit and talk to you person to person. My main concern is that I don’t want to get you or anyone sick so we will be very strict about the rules. I am 99% sure that I am not carrying the virus, as I have had no symptoms and the people that I work with have had no symptoms. Regardless, we will be careful. I love you and want to do right by you. Since you asked me to come, I will definitely be there.

My first cherry tomato! I was so excited to pick it and show Holly.
Cukes, tomatoes, and tomatillos - Oh, my!

I went to see my client Gale today. Unfortunately, he had forgotten I was coming over and he had gone back to bed. I felt really bad driving all the way out there and not being able to see him. He has a problem with day and night. His sleeping patterns are thrown off. I am a bit concerned for him, as I want for him to be safe and looked after. I will be taking him to a couple of doctors appointments in the near future to make sure he is doing alright.

My back was better today, although it still was painful a few times. There are certain positions I can not sit in, or certain pieces of furniture I cannot sit on because it just doesn’t support my back the way it should. I am a bit confused as to the type of stretching I should be doing. The doctor gave me a list, but it has a ton of stuff on it and the instructions are all scrunched and distorted. I don’t want to bother to ask for a different copy as I’ve already been overcharged for the virtual visit I had and I’m afraid that might just get added to the bill. I am going to appeal with my insurance company to pay for the majority of the bill, as I should have only been responsible for the co-pay. Such boring things and details, but the money is all too real.

I will wear some cheery clothes tomorrow! I am going to bake cookies for you first thing in the morning so that they will be nice and fresh when I bring them to you. I wish I could bake enough for everyone, but I’ll do my best to send as many as I can.

I love you, Mom. I will see you soon!!! Hugs, Kisses, and a great big SMILE —- Your Youngest, Sally❤
