01 October, 2020 - A Misty Morning & Getting Ready to Camp
Dear, Mom -
I miss you! How is your day today? My day was pretty good. I worked with Birgit today and took her downtown for an eye appointment. I sat in the car for a bit over an hour since we are not allowed to go into the clinic unless we have an appointment ourselves. If Birgit needed me as a caregiver they would allow it, but she is still very independent and able to do most of those things by herself.
My Gazania
I am stopping my packing for our camping trip tomorrow afternoon in order to write you your letter because it is very important to me. I promise to never miss a letter unless I am physically incapable, which I believe (and hope) to be highly unlikely. I will write you a letter while I am away, but I won’t have internet so I won’t be able to post it until I get back Sunday night. I am going to go through my closet and pull out my warm sleeping bag, my flannel inner bag, and a couple of things that are tucked in especially for camping. I don’t have to pack much as we are only going for two nights and we aren’t far out of town. Only about 50 miles. I can’t believe the campground is so close for being as secluded in the woods as it is. That area is starting to get up into the Coastal Range, yet surrounded by small towns hither ad dither.
At the campground, they have 18 miles of hiking trails. Kim and I are going to pack our hiking sticks so we can hike around the area and see the sights. We’ll take lots of pictures so I can include them in my letters to you. It sounds like the campground might be pretty full being that it is one of the last nice weekends of the fall. I am fine with that. As long as they are quiet at night. I really don’t like it when people go camping and they start playing music that no other camp site wants to hear and just being loud in general. I was probably like that 25 years ago, but I’d like to think I was not.
I’m going to get back to packing, Mom. I’ver really only just started and both Kim and I will want to get out of town as soon as I am off work around 2 pm.
Please know how much I love you and think that you are the best Mom ever. Have a lovely rest of your day and we will talk very soon.
❤️❤️❤️Much Love to You, Your Daughter, —-Sally Ann❤️❤️❤️
