16 July, 2020 - No Title ;) & Did Art for a Change
Dear, Mom -
I need to make this short tonight. It’s much too late and I’ve had a long day. I am very sorry for this, but I will try to make it up to you in tomorrow’s letter. My day was a bit up and down and I think in the end it has just wore me out.
The other night I did some drawing and watercolor for a friend in Ontario, Oregon. She used to be an English teacher in South Korea. She and her husband, as well. They made some very good friends over there and really loved the country. I have been needing to do this for months and months. Thing is, I was just about done then accidentally dropped my brush with black ink on the card basically ruining it.
Now that I look at it again, I just got an idea to save this one. Since there is a black leafy on the same side as the smudge, maybe I will just extend the black leaf out from the bottom of the frame! Ha. This just might work. I’m glad I decided to throw this in tonight’s letter, or I maybe would have never seen the potential to repair it. I will need to ink over it again after having painted it. The black lines will need to stand out more. There are other cards in the Stop-Go card game that are more colorful than this one that I replicated. The deck of playing cards looks much slicker than my rendition. Oh, well. I’ll just have to draw and paint some more. Maybe I’ll get in the practice of doing art more often this way :)
Here are my flower pictures for the day. I love you, Mom. Again, so sorry for the short letter. I’m just very tired and look forward to going to bed. I have to work tomorrow with Birgit and will be running errands for her, as well. I am scheduled to talk to you soon, so I will see you then! All My Love, Sally❤️✨
