23 July, 2020 - The Donations Are Gathered & Woowee...I’m Pooped!

Dear, Mom -

I am sorry we missed each other today. I hope everyone there is well. I tend to worry when I don’t hear from anyone.

After work today, I talked with my friend Chandler (whom we all call ‘Mo’) and worked out the delivery of all the donations we are making to the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. You see, they had a severe water shortage and I rallied friends to donate to the cause. We bought 60 gallons of water, plus A LOT of toiletries and hygienic items for the tribe. It sounds as though the pipes on the reservation gave up the ghost...again...and they were under a boil water order. I was very glad to hear today that their water was just shy of capacity and that we could use more of the money donated for more goods. I am going to top off what I bought today with an additional $100+ worth of feminine hygiene products for the tribal women, as they are in short supply.

This is the back of my car with most of the supplies loaded. It will have more tomorrow. Drop off is at 1.

Bob and I went on a walk looking for flowers for you today. I asked him if he could smell the roses, but I guess he has lost a good amount of his sense of smell. It makes me sad as that is one of my most favorite aromas; fresh roses.

I will try to talk to you on Sunday, Mom. I’m not sure if you will hear from me in between as I believe it is only Joy who reads my letters to you. I hope your weekend is lovely. I hope you feel the sun on your face and my love in your heart. You are my sunshine. I will see you as soon as it is safe and possible. I promise you that!
