Dear, Mom -
Well, well, well. How doth thou fare this fine day? It was another warm day with a breeze. I liked it for the most part with the exception of my bad back. I have no idea how my back pulled again or at what exact time. I just know when I sat down to write your letter last night I was really hurting. It’s about the same tonight, but I’ve been doing some pain management and have it partially controlled right now. Anyway, that is really boring to have to hear about so let’s move on to something else of interest.
I talked to Nancy briefly today. She has been very busy relocating her studio to a new area. I’m not quite where as we didn’t get to that part. She won’t be teaching anymore at the Christian school, so I believe she and Rob are now officially retired. I got in touch with her because I wanted to know if she would be able to make a new pitcher for Birgit and Paula. Birgit accidentally dropped their favorite pitcher and it broke bad enough that I couldn’t repair it with glue. I figured this is the perfect time to ask Nancy if she could make a similar one as it was their most favorite pitcher and used it almost on a daily basis. This is what it looks like with my bad glue job:
Nancy will try a nice seaweed green that she has. It may be a bit more blue.
I am having her do it as a surprise. I will tell them I tried my best to glue it, but couldn’t get it to fit perfectly back together. It is strange that it didn’t actually. The two parts that broke seemed like they would go back together without a hitch, but I think because it broke on the curve of the flange, it just wouldn’t set quite right. I gave it a good try, but just couldn’t get it to match accurately enough. So, your oldest daughter will try to make a new one for your youngest daughter...ME! Nancy is very sweet to do it for me.
I’m going to turn it, Mom. My back is just bothering me too much. It is hard to sit and type. I am going to do some good stretches before bed. I will put the pictures of the flowers and very, fat bumblebee that I saw today. I love you oodles to noodles and wish I could come give you a great, big HUG.
Some very red roses
Isn’t this absolutely delightful? Very odd Petunia. Looks like a starry sky breaking through clouds :)
Redvein Abutilon
My first cherry tomatoes are ripening finally!!!
Big, huge, fantastically fat Bumblebee! You could hear him coming like an airplane.
“Blue” cupidone or Cupid’s Dart. Looks purple to me...
Rose of Sharon. They last long and are so pretty. I may have to grow one of these.
