14 October, 2020 - Sorry I Missed You Today & A Chill in the Air
Dear, Mom -
I am so sorry I missed you today. I was still at work when the call came and was unable to leave Gale for a chat with you and Joy. When I am with Gale, I am never sure if I will be there past three o’clock or if I will have left early. He was doing really well today and working on a project in his fantastic work shop. If you look at the picture of Gale’s workshop, you will see lots of different machines. Gale used to be an industrial designer. He could picture something and make it. He did it with machinery, as well as most any other medium he put his mind to.
Gale’s Fantastic Workshop. He’s built many things here over the last 50+ years.
Gale is SO organized. I love it. His whole workshop is labeled.
I wish I had some of Gale’s art to show you, as well. He, like you, is a very accomplished designer. I won’t call him an artist because he doesn’t call himself an artist. He is a designer who can draw and paint like Michael Angelo! Next time I will try and get a picture of some of his design pieces so you can see how talented he is.
The weather today was cloudy then sunny then very chilly. We actually turned on the little fireplace heater that I got from Aunt Jo this evening. It heats up the living room fairly quickly and puts off a nice ambience. I’m pretty tired this evening and looking forward to being off work tomorrow afternoon. Maybe I can fit in a wee nap. I say that then I get home and Elsa the dog with her big, brown eyes convinces me to take her for a long walk instead. It could be worse. I love having a dog and if it wasn’t for her I would probably be quite overweight from not enough walking and too much napping. Ha.
So, I will apologize that this letter is a bit short. I couldn’t find many flowers this morning, but I did find a few, so I will put them here. I hope the rest of your day is lovely. I hope I can talk to you tomorrow afternoon, but sometimes others need the time. Regardless, you know how much I love and miss you. I think of you often throughout the day and wish I could be with you instead of at work. Elsa the Granddog misses you, too, and sends many licks to your sweet face.
