27 April. 2020 - Cookies and Visits

Dear, Mom -

I was so absolutely delighted to see you in person today. It has been a long time since we seen each other face to face. I had a nice time talking to you. The way your eyebrows raised when I mentioned the chocolate chip peanut butter cookies was adorable! You still love chocolate, peanut butter, and cookies! I hope you got your coffee, mom!

After I visited you, I came home and walked Elsa, then did a few, uneventful things around the house. It is really interesting watching all the neighbors go by. There a lot of kids and a lot of families we haven't really seen before. Families go on walks to get out of the house. You see a lot of the families all together. We just didn't get the same amount of traffic before the 'stay at home' order. I like it because I get to see the diversity of my neighbors, too. And we meet some neighbors we've seen, but never had the chance to talk to.

This is a picture of the St. Johns Bridge from the porch of our house. Sometimes, I forget we have that view. It'a pretty neat. Especially at night when you can see the red lights flashing on top of the arches.

The sky to the south was incredible. It was like a grey painting, enormous and moody. It moved and floated, transforming the storm into a patchy blue quilt then back into a solid, white bank. Nature is beautiful and holds the truest art.

Well, I don't have much to report tonight, Mom. I have to go to bed so I can wake to an early morning of work.I hope you have a wonderful day today and also that we can see each through the window again.

You are very dear to me, Mom. I love you. We will talk very soon. Hugs and Kisses - Sal
